I always have headaches. The pain I have in some of them does depend on what is happening in my life at the moment. They are close to migraine size when something is really bothering me. The funny thing about my migraines is that they seem to come after a major stressor has ended. The doctors say this is typical. Usually, I am lucky, and I get stars, bright lights, funky vision about 30 minutes before they hit. If I can take an Imitrex before the pain actually begins, I can often head it off. Unfortunately, sometimes they do come without warning or during my sleep so I wake up with it. With me I'm very sensitive to smells. I will smell things very strongly but they aren't really there. Ir if they are, they can be so intense I feel almost sick to my stomach. If you have ever had a headache that went away right after throwing up, it was a migraine. I'd love to know why there is a connection. |
