ifazal says: Is Firefox 2.0.0.1 update problematic? I heard that after updating, Firefox is hanging and not working properly till you end task it. (Still I have no evidence from any authentic website) this is my personal experience too. Will you guyz check it... I found that it hung a couple of times whilst installing it. For a successful install I had to close Firefox first and leave only the download window open. Unfortunately my most used add-on "E-Bay negs" doesn't work with it yet, so I'm reverting to v.2.0.0.0 for now. Otherwise, it's been fine so far and does incorporate some security fixes so is probably worth the upgrade provided you can live without certain add-ons until they're updated as well to be compatible. patch update didnt go thru so it downloaded the entire update ... then it updated seems fine to me Could you reword that. I'm not following you. It went fine with me..... I love Firefox and hardly ever use IE anymore. The newest version is the best yet...fast, easy and tons of neat add ons and plugins. 2.0.0.1 did hang for me in a strange way the first time it restarted after the update, but has been fine from then on. Nice to see that they're pointing folks back to the addons page after the update as well I will try it after some more updates. update making mess here. Enjoy Firefox at least it is better than other browsers. Was quick and easy, no problems here, all add-ons are working as well patch update didnt go thru so it downloaded the entire update ... then it updated Could you reword that. I'm not following youFirefox update attempts to download a small 'patch' to change 2.0 to 2.0.0.1 if that patch fails (which it did in my case) it then downloads the entire install file (normal setup file) Ah, yes. Mine didn't do the autoupdate this time. I'm still trying to hang with 2.0.0.1. Haven't had it fired up much today, but had three crashes none-the-less. One more and I'm going back to 2.0 |
