No need to even go that far. From the article:
Condell, an atheist, has released a number of monologues on the
internet, criticising all religions. The anti-Islamic video has been
seen almost 16,000 times on YouTube and more than 190,000 times on
another file sharing site, LiveLeak.

If you don't like a joke don't laugh, or repeat it in context.
Faith even in it's most fundamental form, should be able to understand and see beyond the point of a joke, and that the point matters little compared to the way a listener can mutate it into something that is dangerous. Don't blame the comic, credit people with their own intelligence, and their own point of view. Dictating a point of view that contradictory to the comic is just as offensive by definition. I try and remember the saying,
"I disagree with what you say, but I will fight to the death to defend your right to say it."
So many people in the past have been killed for that reason. Free speech just goes underground, but you can never make it go away.

I remember a principle that I see less and less evidence of as time passes :
"I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death you're right to say it "
So many people in the past have died trying to establish and protect that right. Free speech will never disappear, it just goes underground. We have the right as individuals to use our own judgment, as opposed to being compelled by administrative coercion, and emotional blackmail.
