<P>Lawmakers and the NAACP are calling for an investigation into reports that federally funded scientific experiments in 2000 spread sewage sludge on yards in poor black neighborhoods to test if it could fight lead poisoning in children. The Associated Press reported Sunday that researchers spread a mix of human and industrial wastes from sewage treatment plants on the lawns of nine low-income families in Baltimore and a vacant lot next to an elementary school in East St. Louis, Illinois. Right. We even quit lynching black people - mostly - a few decades ago. And stopped the syphilis experiments on them (designed to produce cadavers with advanced syphilis for medical research) in 1972, when I was in college. I hear that some even get mortgages, recently.

Did the people know about this?
Poor/black people are not stupid or ignorant just because of their race/ economic status.......I hate it when people think that way!
what did they do to fool them or keep them quiet?
