Bactria are making antibiotics as we know them obsolete. They adapt too quickly. The adaptation has been accelerated by overuse, but it was something that could not be avoided. While we have been using antibiotics we have allowed them to do the work of our immune system, so it has not needed to function as efficiently, to our detriment. Humanity makes a great host because of it's number. It's immune system will be put to to the test. Vaccines work by preparing a template for the immune system to use, when it eliminates a virus. Maybe we could do the same with,
Bacteria. I have no doubt they have tried, it's just finding the key to antibody production. If we rely on an artificial defense system, we will be left wanting if it disappears.

Those of us who are allergic to penicillin were pumped full of it during the 50s and 60s. We got 10x the amount needed. How did this affect our immune system?
