WOW. It shows how we as a human race are changing and evolving. COOL PIC! It shows how we as a human race are evolving, but nut ourselves, we are evolving machines... LOL just kidding... That's amazing when you look back 20 years and see how big everything was, and if you think that is wild, imagine what a GB will look like in another 20 years. If memory gets any smaller I won't be able to find the slot thats big! how does it go into a computer? Are those read/write heads or brake calipers for a semi? May be the next 20 year, the size of 1GB will be like a ant. I have 1GB micro SD Flash cards that are 1/4 of the size that is bing held in the photo. круто In about 20 years time, we'll probably have somin like 50gig of space grafted into the skin of our arms or somin that would be accessible via Bluetooth with the bluetooth part of it being powered by either out own natural energy or the black Chernobyl fungi harnessing energy from background radiation from around us =p Are those read/write heads or brake calipers for a semi? For Real! This article made me stop and think how grateful I should be for the technology we have...even though I cuss my computer daily. WoW. Not to be a spoil sport, but the pic is comparing apples to oranges (magnetic storage to flash-based). Flash-based technology was around 20 years ago. It would be cool to see 1GB worth of the original NOR type flash chip vs today's micro-sd or whatever the smallest happens to be. Although... it probably wouldn't have the same visual impact. :-/ |
