BartendingBear says: The notion of ownership is really up for grabs. It's ironic that a "sub-prime" debtor who is in possession of a car, needs to be watched so closely while the creditor is assumed to be lawful until proven otherwise. Even though, the contract for the car gets sold to a new creditor if there are bank problems. The car however eventually depreciates into a pile of rust. Could this be the primary reason why GM and Chrysler had to be saved? Next thing you know the cops will be monitoring our movements as well. My dad was a repo man when I was little- he's been held at gunpoint and also shot at..going to a person's house to get a car... this could be good for guys who do this type of work Next thing you know the cops will be monitoring our movements as well.It is past thing I don't have a cell phone and I'm not about to get one anytime soon. Having been harassed by collectors, I have no sympathy for anyone in that line of work. This is nothing personal against rvnurse2b, but collectors are worse than politicians. They're just doing their job; it's not like the get their jollies from being the bad guy...usually. In this economy, those people are probably just happy they have a job to begin with. Turnover in that industry is very high. |
