Fast T friend says: This seems as a good source. I am just trying to get acquainted with InDesign and would appreciate any useful advice. You may want to try: http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/video_workshop/ Thank you Djiezes, i'll check it out. The reason i'm interested is that I have a text in Word which is going to be printed via InDesign. I would have liked to know what parameters I should pay attention to in the Word text, so it will be a smooth transition No problem. I've got no experience with InDesign myself, but the videoworkshop titled "Importing content into InDesign" might fit your needs (?): http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/video_workshop/?id=vid0067 A great link Dj, appreciate it. the experts don't look so good .. -) this is my first response -)) but the ideas sound very good. though the concept ONE stop shop is also 2b suspected it seems a worthwhile site. 10x. will check it soon .... )) I actually thought that “HerGeekness” is as cool as can be I should pay attention to in the Word text, so it will be a smooth transitionImporting a Word file itself (or a text file) into InDesign should not pose any significant problems at all. InDesign should pick up any formatting embedded in the Word.doc and it can of course be altered once in an InDesign file. InDesign can be daunting on its first few outings but, like most Adobe products, quickly becomes part of the furniture so to speak. At work, I use InDesign, Quark and Illustrator (for both graphics and text) and find the most irritating thing is remembering which program I'm in when using shortcuts etc, especially if two are being used simultaneously on the same job! That's encouraging mick, thanks. |
