Mrs Mirabella said that in total she had met with seven mayors yesterday — from Mansfield, Alpine, Wodonga, Benalla, Strathbogie, Wangaratta and Indigo.<BR /></P><P>
“I appreciate their time and their thoughts,” she said.<BR /></P><P>

“Within local government there are also differences between metropolitan, rural city, regional and remote areas and I hope these different issues and requirements are taken into account because a single policy statement won’t fit everyone.”<BR /></P><P>
Mrs Mirabella said she hoped to meet again with the North East mayors as well as continue to meet with state and national representative bodies including the Australian Local Government Association.<BR /></P><P>
