That appears to be a very nuanced stance by Hillary because the article also quotes this from Hillary.

"She opposes new subsidies for nuclear power, but would continue research focused on lowering costs and improving safety."

Which sounds like she is open to nuclear as a potential future energy source.

To me it looks like there might be a hair's width difference in Obama and Hillary's stance on this issue.

You might be right, Bobby, but I do like her strong statement that wind and solar are best. Thanks for the comment.

Just for the record. I would prefer wind and solar and other approaches over nuclear. It was pretty alarming that the Bush administration planned for nuclear waste to be transported across the country to Yucca Mountain unescorted.
