In short, I hope for an America where neither "fundamentalist" nor "humanist" will be a dirty word, but a fair description of the different ways in which people of goodwill look at life and into their own souls.

I hope for an America where no president, no public official, no individual will ever be deemed a greater or lesser American because of religious doubt -- or religious belief.

I hope for an America where the power of faith will always burn brightly, but where no modern Inquisition of any kind will ever light the fires of fear, coercion, or angry division.

I hope for an America where we can all contend freely and vigorously, but where we will treasure and guard those standar...

So he took "God" out of our country. I wonder how he is doing with God now? I am sorry, he is not my hero. He supported abortion, same sex marriage, and is the foundation for the liberal socialist agenda. It all works out in the end. He knows the truth now.

Really? Did you just come back from the dead to tell us that?

Seems to me, jay8h, that every time you tickle the keys your IQ tends to drop 10 points or so, or at least you make it seem that way. Be careful. You're approaching the temperate zone and you don't have a lot to spare.

In other words, he's a Real American Hero.

It's a shame that you don't know the truth now, Jay. You're still imprisoned in ignorance and inhumanity.

I don't have to come back from the dead to tell you this, you will all have the opportunity one day to argue with God that abortion, same sex marriage and homosexuality is OK.

Nice come back too from such a friendly liberal bunch:

"Did you just come back from the dead"
"every time you tickle the keys your IQ tends to drop 10 points"
"You're still imprisoned in ignorance and inhumanity"

How would you respond without name calling? Or can you?

Wow!

Keep quiet and have people think your.....
Or open your mouth and remove all doubt. One of the few wise things my angry ultra right wing father ever said. Ironically he did not heed those words.

It's how people react to trolls, Jay. Think about that for a bit, if you can.

Steve Savage
President Eisenhower warned in 1953, “Don’t join the book burners...the right to say ideas, the right to record them, and the right to have them accessible to others is unquestioned -- or this isn’t America.”
I must apologize for my ignorance in not understanding why some of my comments have been censored and deleted because they were not to the liking of the deleters. I foolishly thought I was still in America.

If I am, why is it that some of those who say that they are of "Ted Kennedy," do not do the things of "Ted Kennedy"? To Whit:
Those who favor censorship should recall that one of the first books ever burned was the first English translation of the Bible.

Darkforce you have now called me:

"a troll"

"imprisoned in ignorance and inhumanity"

Who is the 'troll"? Maybe you ought to ask yourself.

Maybe you define "troll" as anyone who disagrees with you. In that case, you are definitely a troll since you always disagree with everyone but liberals.

Steve, welcome to the Internet. The Internet is NOT America. There is no constitution here. There is no Right to Free Speech here. Anyone who has the ability to alter or delete anything you post has the legal right to do so. You're not in America anymore; not online.

Jay, you are still the Troll. You post snarky, derrogatory comments on many posts on Clipmarks, inviting flames — that is the very definition of a troll. The fact that people are dismissive and contemptuous of your trolling attempts does not make them a troll.

Jay; to whit; when the comments are nasty about what the clip is about; it is Trollish. When the comments are nasty about what the Troll has posted, they are not Trollish.

The question is, which kind of troll is he?

Ah yes! The Deacon:

Be he a Baptist, Scientologist or Zoroastrian, in the heat of battle Deacon will call down Divine retribution on all net sinners, and will never miss an opportunity to blather endlessly about his religion. Deacon is fervent and earnest, but seldom contributes anything of interest or substance to the discussion. Occasionally Tireless Rebutter or Philosopher will rouse themselves engage Deacon in battle, but they soon lose interest because of his utter predictability.
