cakebelly says: Photographs of London streets taken 60 years apart. (looks as if Bovril was a lot more popular) I remember an open market and stores in an area of london, they were open all night long and had good strret lighting so the middle of the night looked like day. Can't remember the name of that area, anyone know? I still use Bovril. A half a packet or so in with the water when i'm boiling my potatoes, and some onion--yummy! I hate plain potatoes now. I add a bit if my home-made soup needs it... amazing. plus so many people have no idea what london looked like and went through during ww2. amazed how they stuck together and pulled through. |
