Yet they are calling for a winter here in the northern hemisphere 2 to 3 degrees cooler this winter. The sunspot decline has also slowed any more warming trends on earth.

Have you checked the SESC sunspot numbers lately,
http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/ftpdir/latest/DSD.txt
and who are 'they', who apparently don't understand that global warming does cause some parts of the Earth to get cooler at times. A melting Arctic alters ocean currents that distribute massive amounts of heat and cold.
