Metacognition. I love it.

I remember when I first took time to think about recognition.

This is really interesting. Kids that age really do need to learn how to think about thinking. We usually assume that thinking is something that comes naturally but there are strategies for thought that we are lucky if we learn. I once went to a very interesting training on the effects of social economics on thought and there definitely are children who come from families where this is foreign territory.

I wish I had been taught these things at an early age! I would have been far less gullible.
