It's about what I'd expect from WorldNutDaily.

What, that they did the digging the msm didn't bother to do?

I'm sorry, but it just cracks me up that they guy who promised to have the most open administration ever can't even be bothered to share his real birth certificate (which Hawaii has said it does have on record).

Bingo: he could put an end to all this so easily....question is, why hasn't he?

Jorjor, what part of this article is innaccurate?

I didn't say it was inaccurate. I implied that they were severely biased in what they choose to call "reporting". I consider the birthers to be less credible than alien abductees on the conspiracy theory scale.

Jorjor: please focus and tell me how, if this article is indeed not innaccurate- then how are the author's of it "not credible" ?

Their reporting is driven by a fundamentalist Christian ideology. Their "news" contains opinions that should be promoted as editorials. If you're too steeped in ideology yourself to see it, it does no good to point it out further. This is the last thing I will say abou it on this clip. You are like the three-year-old who just keeps asking "Why? Why? Why?" everytime a question is answered.;

As I suspected, you cannot refute one thing in the article.
But -by all means-keep up your oh so mature insults and attempts at diverting from the actual content, (which in and of itself speaks volumes.)

As I've asked before, but never received a good response to:

If it was as easy as a birth certificate, do you really think the Republicans would not have been easily able to block his nomination, the election and his Presidency?

And I've asked this before, "If the birth certificate is no big deal, then why can't a man as rich as Obama drop the five bucks or so (heck, they would probably do it free for him) and release the original?"

Seriously, I've always had serious doubts about the conspiracy theories, but there is always that little nagging question as to why he is fighting so hard not to release something that would so easily prove his detractors wrong?

The original cannot be released. They only give certified copies. Can you imagine if the original was destroyed by bringing it out of the vault? That is the ultimate violation of privacy. But the conspiracies will continue to rally around the idea that a certified copy is not enough.

Also, there is a birth announcement in the local newspaper. Unless some time traveler planted it in anticipation of the newborn someday becoming President, that's another piece of evidence.

There are all sorts of public records that the media has obtained. Nothing has been found to support the idea that he is not a legitimate, natural-born U.S. citizen.

sure there has, and this is exactly why this thing won't die. It actually makes me laugh, I never ever expected it to go on this long.

Oh well, guess he likes it?

The birth certificate and a certification of live birth are two different documents in Hawaii. The whole deal is he hasn't released even a copy of the actual birth certificate. It is smoke and mirrors. Hawaii has said they have the actual birth certificate. They say they cannot release copies even under freedom of information. Only Obama can allow the release and he has refused to do so.

So once...

When I actually contacted the Hawaii Dept and queried, they sent me an Email basically stating that the original could not be released to anyone, even the person themselves. The verified certificate was the equivalent. I wanted to get a direct response.

WND is clearly inviting the reader to believe that the Certification of
Live Birth - the kind of documentation Barack Obama has of his birth in
the US - is somehow a more dubious form of proof of US/Hawaiian birth
than the Certificate of Live Birth.

WND does this by pointing to a Department of Hawaiian Home Lands website that says that to be eligible for its program you need a Certificate of Live Birth, rather than a Certification of Live Birth.

The WND article is misleading because it pretends that the Hawaiian
Home Lands program is insisting on the Certificate of Live Birth to
prove someone was born in Hawaii.

This is false.

Actually, the program is using the
certificate to prove so...
