enbar says: Latest column from Paul Krugman. It's an "honor roll" of people who publicly criticized the administration position on going to war in Iraq before it happened. As it turns out, most of their predictions have come true. Remarkably, the Weekly Standard piece that makes fun of "antiwar doomsayers" is still online here: http://snurl.com/14mcf well, but it's still our fault because we didn't clap loud enough. despite the fact that the pro-war crowd has had it all their way and could do as they please, somehow, we were still able to undercut their noble war efforts. i haven't quite figured that one out yet....nonetheless, if you believed that it was illegal, immoral, based on lies and doomed to failure from the get-go then it is still all your fault. ignore the fact that you had/have virtually no power to affect them in any way.....still all your fault. amazing built-in blame shifting mechanism. doomed to fail, is failing, not their fault for pursuing delusions, your fault for not....well...not believing hard enough? Great article enbar. Thanks , I'm actually going to print this one, Maybe even frame it. |
