在傳統相機中，28mm以上的廣角鏡頭是很普及的，但是由於普通數碼相機存在感光器件較小的特殊性，要做到較大的廣角，鏡頭的物理焦距就需要很短，導致對像差校正、抗玄光鍍膜等有高要求。隨著人們對廣角拍攝的日益重視，現在3000元左右，價廉的廣角型數碼相機也正日漸熱門起來。理光是家用高性價比便攜型廣角數碼相機的“鼻祖”，從當初G3/G4 wide到現在的RX/GX系列產品，28mm廣角都是其最大賣點。除此之外，佳能、奧林巴斯、柯尼卡美能達等相機也推出了28mm廣角相機。
<FONT color="red"><P align="center"><IMG border="0" alt="" src="http://publish.it168.com/cWord/images/328077.jpg" /></P></FONT><FONT color="#444444">      對於市場上大部分熱銷的數碼相機而言，其廣角焦段一般在35-38mm之間。而真正的廣角數碼相機其實就是鏡頭焦距涵蓋了28mm廣角的產品。由於28mm的廣角視野要比數碼相機上最常見的35mm、38mm的廣角更寬，28mm廣角視野是76度視角, 而35mm則只有62度, 因此可以產生很獨特的視覺效應，容納更寬廣的場景。這也是為什麼消費者更看好28mm廣角數碼相機的原因。廣角最大的特點就是可以拍攝廣闊的范圍，具有將距離感誇張化，對焦范圍廣等拍攝特點。 使用廣角時可將眼前的物體放得更大，將遠處的物體縮得更小,四周的圖像容易失真也是它的一大特點。廣角還能使圖像中的任意一點都調節到最適當的焦距，使得畫面更加清晰，也可以稱之為完全自動對焦。
廣角數碼相機的鏡頭焦距很短，視角較寬，而景深卻很深，比較適合拍攝較大場景的照片，如建築、風景等題材。</FONT>
