Humans do have a knack for over doing things. Look at what's happened on the east coast; fishing boats used to barely get their nets in the water and they'd be full of cod fish, now the cod is almost completely gone. Here on the west coast they've almost done the same thing to the salmon. I think there is definitely something wrong when they can tell you exactly how many animals are in a wild herd of any species.
