Yes, but what's a AMV?

Originaly it ment Anime Music Video. Fans would take samples of their favorite anime (Japanese animation) shows and using Windows Media Player or similar programs add music and make a short video.

These days it also includes footage from video games which in some cases come with powerful tools to create their own mods (or scenes, many first person shooters like Halo and Half-Life can be moded on computer). This video is made with software included in Half-Life 2 with the added music.

Many of them are pretty simple, but some, like the one in this clip are just fantastic.
