Granted, fairness is not a component of service in the military and for good reason. Yet the fact remains that overwhelmingly the military grants special privilege to Judeo-Christian religions which flies in the face of the Constitution's prohibition of endorsing a particular religion or, in this case, punishing someone of no religious belief. How much of this story is fact and how much is being disclosed is up for speculation. If the main tenets are true then the military has a lot of explaining to do. The more people are fed that pap, the more the religious zealots feel they have the freedom to claim superiority.
