The D.A.R.E. program had the same results. Kids got curious and wanted to know what the big deal was. Every 20-something I know said they tried drugs even though they went through the program. I'm not surprised.
We'll never be able to stem the tide of AIDS and STD infections, and that's why sexually promiscuous and irresponsible people pose the greatest threat to humanity - not smoking or war.
The classes will do no good as long as those who are *in* the class aren't interested in protecting themselves and their future. No self-discipline. Our culture and the accompanying hormones spell disaster for the individual and in the long term, for our welfare system which we, the taxpayers, are supporting.
