pokkets says: The City of London police came under fire two years ago when it emerged that more than 20 officers, ranging from constable to chief superintendent, had accepted gifts worth thousands of pounds from the Church of Scientology. The City of London Chief Superintendent, Kevin Hurley, praised Scientology for "raising the spiritual wealth of society" during the opening of its headquarters in 2006. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_(group) I don't know who is winning in the race to the bottom of the crazy pile, the US or England. Both have obviously gone nuts. The Scientology movement is like a genus within the insect family Ichneumonidae. Ichneumonidae inject their eggs directly into a host's body, where the egg will hatch and the resulting larva will devour its host before emergence. The Scientologists' ideology is to execute a long march through the institutions of power to create radical change from within government and society by becoming an integral part of the machinery. Keep a close eye on that - be it a cult or have it a cult... Take heed! I don't know who is winning in the race to the bottom of the crazy pile, the US or England. Both have obviously gone nuts.I have been thinking that for quite some time now. The Scientologists' ideology is to execute a long march through theThis reminds me of the religious right and their efforts to stock-pile the US Dept. of Justice with attys. in depth from a particular right wing school (Bob Jones University?). I read Dianetics back in the 80's. While I understood it somewhat I thought it was preachy and pushy. Dianetic is an introduction, and members do not secrets revealed to them until they have reached a higher level. This youtube video says a lot. Scientology: Brainwashing Made Easy. Frankly, I thought it was really BORING The link didn't stick, but the video describes how there are set charges to advance levels. Before any of the real 'secrets' are revealed, a Thetan Operating level three must be reached, which costs hundreds of thousands of dollars..Dianetics is for newcomers. it also includes some background information on L Ron Hubbard. Scientology: Brainwashing Made Easy. 12:43 From: superangrymonkey Views: 12,817 My sister joined about 20 years ago, so I've seen the way she has changed. Of course that makes it more personal. She kept sending us scientology information, . Every letter, birthday card, christmas card, included scientology pamplets. I agreed to shut up if she would. We hardly see her. She's busy working to increase her thetan operating level. To go insane, you need to be sane in the first place. I am sorry to hear that your sis got caught up in a cult. I hope one day she comes back to your family. Hopefully before TOO MUCH damage is done. POP for your sister What happens when you take the piss out of $ciento£ogy? What ever happened to freedom of speech? *sigh* Thanks for the links Johanna G, and Rasmus. I'll have to do some link practice. This isn't a freedom of speech issue. One of issues here is corruption. The Church of Scientology is RICH, and they get what they want. They don't attack critics with facts, or a logical argument, they have expensive lawyers, and they can be nasty, and attack not only the critics, but their families, with the aim of breaking the critic with any means at their disposal. Ever broken any law in your life? They can afford to hire the investigators to find enough to discredit their critics, with an issue that has nothing whatsoever to do with the original statement. They want themselves as far removed from the attack ... How many churches aren't "rich", at least relative to the average member? I do admit those which are not are out there, but on the whole it seems that a church opening its doors seldom closes them for lack of funds. As far as I can work out the 'Church' as a concept, has become institutionalized to the point of coming between God and Humanity, rather than being a bridge. They hold the keys to the sanctuary but refuse to enter it themselves. The Church of Scientology happen to have methods that are particularly callous. The established church having so much experience, is probably just better at keeping their cards closer to their chest, and having methods that due to a long history of indoctrination, are more socially acceptable, or at least tolerated, because there is an assumption that they are accepted by 'everyone else' This seems to be changing as people are learning to communicate more completely... Duh! No brainer...Cult...Yes it is. We are all much better informed thanks to this clip. TG nobody seems to enamoured with this Xult. Being well informed is the best armour. Pity is, like many another topic, that those who need to be informed are least likely to see the need to read this. They believe that their present brand of religion makes them immune from approach. In my experience they are the most vulnerable. |
