The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) has done a comprehensive study on the opinion of world scientists and has found that OVERWHELMINGLY the scientific community accepts global warming and the major cause is human activity.

National Academy of Sciences has also concluded the same :

"Greenhouse gases are accumulating in Earth's atmosphere as a result of human activities, causing surface air temperatures and subsurface ocean temperatures to rise"

To add to that list is The American Meteorological Society, the American Geophysical Union, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). They have all issued statements in recent years concluding that the evidence for human modification of is accepted.

That global warming hypothesis was tested by analyzing 928 abstracts, published in refereed scientific journals between 1993 and 2003.

Of those 928 submissions NOT ONE of them argued against global warming. 75% either explicitly or implicitly accepting the consensus view of human caused/effected global warming and the remaining 25% took no position to disagree with the consensus of active global warming.

Eagle, look at a temperature graph. This one is very easy. Even YOU can see the results. It HAS NOT been getting cooler for the last 10 years. It has been getting hotter. This is one lie that is easily dispelled.

When looking at long term temperature changes the temp doesn't simply increase and decrease in a single direction like a smooth mountain slope. There are years or a group of a few years that the temp actually reverses - BUT when you look at the graph as a whole the trend stands out. The only people that cannot see it are people in denial.

LOOK at a graph of temperatures over the last 25 years and you will see the trend. We might have gotten away with mild temperatures in the last year or two, but that doesn't mean the warming period is over.

And simply because one region is experiencing mild weather doesn't mean that the planet as a whole is doing the same. People in Australia certainly do not think it is cooling. They've been in a drought since 2002.

In fact, when the sun does become more active in the next solar cycle it will only ADD to the current crisis. Try and remember that this all started before the next solar activity and don't embarrass yourself by trying to blame the upcoming new record breaking temperatures on the sun.
