Giuliani out (almost!!)

I thought these remarks by political scientist Philip Klinker (channeling Hunter Thompson) on Giuliani were funny:

Giuliani is on CNN right now trying to explain why his sixth place finish (behind Ron Paul) is meaningless: "Time will tell what the best strategy is." True, but I think we know right now that Rudy's strategy ain't it. Reminds me of the great Hunter Thompson line about Ed Muskie in 1972: "He talked like a farmer with terminal cancer trying to borrow money on next year's crop."

Gotta say that I'm glad to see some wind taken out of Clinton's sails. Not that I'm the biggest BO fan, but she is too much of a Republicrat for any sane lib to support.

I just watched Obama's speech and feel really excited about his potential. He is seeing it and saying it like the country needs...hopeful about him being the right man at the right time for the U.S. and the world.

I think the people of Iowa are very intelligent and nice.

It's no secret that I support Kucinich. After he was shut out of the Iowa debates, he gave up on Iowa and began campaigning in NH.
One thing he said to his Iowa supporters was to vote for Obama - but only in Iowa.
One thing about Dennis, he's never on the fence.

Now you have it. It would be nice for a REAL Democrat winning for the Democrats. Now if the Republicans would pick Hucky, there would be no contest for president but it'll probably be than smarmy 9/11 opportunist instead.
