Fast T friend says: # The differences in disability and longevity between the runner group and the control group continued to diverge at the end of the study, as the participants approached their 80th birthday. Wow- that is really good news for us runners. I do run quite a bit and always feel better for it. ahhh but as you get older you get arthritis and running jars the bones and makes that condition worse! so power walking is best! A few years ago I blew my knee right while running and it never healed properly so my running days are over. sorry to hear that tanyamm, hope you found a different sport to stave away the less desired effects of growing in years. I walk almost every where I go. I don't just amble along, I come as close to a power walk as I can. |
