                          Mr. Crockett joined the Group first as a Non-Executive 
                          Director in April 1997, and then as its Managing Director 
                          in November, 1997 until he subsequently retired at the 
                          end of year 2000. For almost three decades, he has been 
                          holding various senior positions in a number of major 
                          American banks and is experienced in domestic and international 
                          banking.
Prior to joining the Group, Mr. Crockett worked for 
                          banks in the United States, Switzerland, Japan and Taiwan.
