I love broccoli. If properly steamed with a touch of garlic......feed me I am with you kkcapster broccoli is great any way, raw or cooked. I can't eat broccoli, brussels sprouts or any similar vegetables. They contain an amino acid that my body can't process. It's a metabolic thing. Then I found out about this, I told my parents, "Ha! There was a reason I didn't like that stuff, but you kept trying to make me eat it!" Jorjor I am with you. I am the same way with peas, can eat a small amount in veggie soup; but if I eat a normal serving I break out in hives and start itching. My oldest daughter is allergic to shellfish, the iodine. Take care of yourself. Most vegetables in the nightshade family give me gout attacks. Gout is tough, had it one time in my 20's. Low purine diet helped me, thank God never again, very painful. Understand there is now medication, I hope. Try the V-8 fruit flavored drink, excellent. |
