Apparently, according to the Conservative Twits in government, a white man can't be a refugee, even though his life has been threatened repeatedly (and he's even been stabbed because of his skin colour) in his home country.

That's a complete slice of bullshit. I don't care that it's a relatively rich white man that's the victim in this case, justice is justice. It's not social justice when a government bends over backwards the other way in an attempt to compensate for a past social inequity. If white people are being victimized, and their suffering indirectly government sanctioned in South Africa, then they are as much refugees as someone of any other skin colour trying to escape social inequity in their own homeland. Yes, it's a bitter pill that he's white and rich, but right is right.
