I'm just beginning to get into baking my own bread. Thanks for the clip. Hmmm, now i wonder what got you thinking about bread, Izzy? What are you trying to say? And it's zizzy not Izzy. You're welcome distenchantedcitizen. I haven't baked bread for a long time because I've been traveling so much. Since Ramadan is a time to practice good habits, I decided to start baking bread again. Yesterday I baked buttermilk and honey whole wheat bread (recipe on site). I fast during Ramadan, which means I don't eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset. It took all my willpower to not slice into that bread before sundown. Ooops, my bad. Oh i was just talking about the conversation on "I is a domestic goddess," where we were talking about homemade bread. But thanks for the site, i hope to find time to do a little bread-making this fall. lollipop10 - It's a great site. I really like the handbook. Baking bread is challenging and the results can be delicious, (yes I have had spectacular failures). Thanks for commenting. Oh yes, any kind of bread, biscuits, whatever. My mouth is watering now Btw, how did the buttermilk and honey bread turn out? It reminded me of the recipe i have for scones which uses cream. Lemon apricot scones, and boy are they delicious! (lemon and sugar goes on top before baking, dried apricot cut up for the inside) |
