Why would any 'normal' person attempt to to smuggle guns from Eastern Europe into the US. Aside from he obvious difficulties of having to 'smuggle' them across other borders to even get close to the US, why should they? Yes, why should they they they could buy all the weapons they needed in America??? A case of coals to Newcastle, surely!

I don't know of anyone who said that the terrorist where not "coming to the U.S." considering the fact that the U.S. has both a huge internal and external terrorist problem. As for other guns, the stuff you can get in the U.S. from the U.S. Army decommission operations or in the back of a truck makes more sense than trying to get them from abroad. Look at all the firepower to yahoos used to rob a bank in North Hollywood.
