A friend who was stationed at an army base in Alaska for an extended tour of duty and he said that it had no business becoming a state and should have remained a territory. So far this is what has been clarified: 1) Palin never changed her party affiliation to AIP 2) She claims that she went to their convention as a courtesy as mayor when it was held in her home town. 3) At least one AIP leader claims she was a member. 4) The video of her speech to AIP was taken off of YouTube. 5) Somebody claimed that Palin's husband really had his party affiliation as AIP. DailyKos...how f*****g pathetic can you get. BTW, I think it's great that she is/was a member. States DO have the right to secede.
