Jeremiah Wright said some truth that America didn't want to hear and had to stay in denial: like the confirmed fact that our own CDC sold biological weapons of mass destruction to Saddam Hussein.

Saying "God Damn America," also didn't help, even though that was only half the sentence it was the half played over and over and over again on TV.

"God Damn America for it's policies of past slavery, racism, and state sponsored terrorism," was more his point.

Of course, the idea that the USA is doing "state sponsored terrorism," is another one of it's denials.

His idea that the CIA deliberate man-made AIDS to kill the black man --- although he backtracked on this a bit -- well, that's not a pop...

His idea that the CIA deliberate man-made AIDS to kill the black man --- although he backtracked on this a bit -- well, that's not a popular idea either; although the spread of AIDS was not the normal way diseases spread; some reasonable people think AID came froma good intentioned program that had disasterous side effects -- and this helps explain that rather than AIDS spreading like most diseases it instead popped up in separated cities, focused on needle users.

The Rev. Wright also shot himself in the foot with his final public appearance before the National Press Club (after his fine interview on Bill Moyers). He made himself the caricature of an angry black, somewhat crazy black man...and not the normal way of responding to questions from the National Press.

He couldn't have made himself more a a caricature then if he painted himself with a black face/big white lips, put on the uniform of a Pullman railroad porter and shuffled around saying: "Yes sir, yes sir, whatever yo say boss."

So...Jeremiah Wright or Jeremiah Wrong?

I think Jeremiah Wright half right and half wrong.
