Well, after using GMail for a while, I almost forgot what it meant or felt like using traditional emails. After coming back to Thunderbird I'm realizing that GMail's conversation thread and its one-record-per-email method is really tiresome and leaves constraints on mind. I subscribe to various Yahoogroups and I noticed that I was reluctant to read conversation threads just because they were stacking up and it was getting way too hard to manage. The filter mechanism at Thunderbird is way too easy and quick compared to GMail and it's been working out like a charm without installing any extensions or anything just yet.

Another thing TB does well is now they would configure your GMail settings for you, so you just enable it at your account, launch TB, select GMail and off you go with everything.
