ericw says: Ads in switzerland for Amnesty International using transparent backgrounds for billboards. These are heartbreaking and amazing. Wow, just .. .wow Amazing way to convey the message. Totally, it creates such a unique physical presence and helps spread the word further (like here) just because it's such an interesting idea. I think they are so effective because discussion about blatant human rights violations is often shrugged off by the west because the acts are foreign, that it does not happen to us. These ads show it happening right in the Swiss streets. I wonder what they look like from the other side. I just researched these- they are even more brilliant than expected. They are not 'transparent' in total-only in part- but pictures are actually taken of the area and photoshopped. Brilliant -and heartbreaking. You might have already seen this, but if not: http://www.impactlab.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=7567 Awesome stuff! These ads show it happening right in the Swiss streets.Exactly! I think they are so effective because discussion about blatant humanI think that while this is a positive way to look at it, the West could, and does, still shrug it off. Just because the ads are on Western soil, it's still not going on here (to the same if any extent) so it's still very easily shruggable. I don't see them. What are they? Are these the ads which look like they are 3d? You have to click on the actually link itself, Nevets. Click on the link to the site - you can see them all there. Absolutely amazing! |
