<<Mr. McGuire: I want to say one word to you. Just one word.
Benjamin: Yes, sir.
Mr. McGuire: Are you listening?
Benjamin: Yes, I am.
Mr. McGuire: Plastics.
Benjamin: Just how do you mean that, sir? >>

One of the best bits of one of the best films ever!

Isn't this step one in living forever? We will slowly combine with the plastics (sort of Borg-ish) and then we just stop our decay. Our cellular breakdown is inhibited until we sit immobilized like the Tin Man.

Imagine buildings full of statues thinking Big Thoughts and unable to express them. I think step two is integrating our brains into some AI system so we can keep going and going and going.

Supermarkets in Ireland don't provide plastic bags anymore . If you want one you have to pay a "levy" of 22 cents (Euro). It takes a bit of getting used to having to "bring your own bag" to the grocery store, but I support the effort. I don't know of any effort to keep plastics out of our bodies...
