It's amazing how groups of people that would otherwise be mortal enemies seem to be able to come together when it comes to declaring their hate for homosexuals. And most of the people that are protesting the loudest are doing so because they're trying to suppress their own secret urges.

or any hate, for that matter.
Hating, it seems, asks us not to step out of our boundaries. where love... inevitably allows us just that.

Apparently Hutcherson told Microsoft that he’ll be their “worst nightmare”
I expect after reading this joke that Bill Gates will snuggle up in his bed for a good nights sleep.....

Ah, such a warrior for Christ. Have I heard any concern about the fact that one in six U.S. children lives in poverty? What about the 233 million cut for SCHIP program? What about the cutbacks for the housing assistance program for the poor, elderly, and disabled, veterans health services, college grants and education for low-income students, and Head Start? What about the LIHEAP budget cutback for emergency funding for weather extremes? What about the cuts in the school lunch programs? What about the 100 million cut in U.S. global food aid?
Does this warrior for Christ think killing all these social programs is just fine? Oh, that's right; let 'em eat faith baby.

I don't know where to begin. I just don't know where to begin. Looking at the photo is enough to make me sick. How many people did this man and his kind slaughter due to hatred? The white sheet has always used gods name as a banner under which to do their evil deeds. Blacks couldn't marry Whites... against nature, against the bible... whatever. I can't think straight I am so angry.
nevermind... maybe I'll come back and write something more intelligent once my blood pressure has subsided.

Sickening.
OMG, I now have a reason to support Microsoft? That's so wrong.

Ignorance! Total ignorance. Best to know who your enemies really are and am glad this has been brought to my attention for future reference.

Where do you people find this stuff? The dregs of our society and you put them forth as the norm or the status quo? Purely sick.

The clip Dear Religious Black People written by a black woman, is an excellent commentary on bigotry in the black church.

The dregs of our society and you put them forth as the norm or the status quo?
Jatfla: Please explain how clipping an article makes the behavior of groups or individuals status quo. I'm not attacking you; I'm only interested in your point of view.

Should we hesitate to point out the wrongs of others and air their dirty laundry? Should we dismiss this man's intolerance? If this guy aligns himself with a hateful racist group to "be a warrior for Christ" in promoting hatred for homosexuals and this clipper pointed it out, is it the clipper's fault that some may find themselves in a weakened moral position because of the clip? I don't think so; the clipper who clipped the article is only pointing out what the man said.

As the "you" that you are accusing as being "sick" I think that your comment was offensive and poorly directed. Care to explain what you mean by "you people". Sounds like a typical prejudicial reference to me. And please show how shedding light on this article normalizes it. I've noticed that you have not responded to any of the comments addressing your post. Should I make the assumption that you are a moral coward who gets his kicks by pretending to be superior to others?

The guy is shaking hands with a klansman. symbolically, the same hands that would be happy to clamp around his neck less than 50 years ago. Microsoft hasn't got anything to do with it. Really. If you look deeper into the root of the issue. This mans self hatred of all that he is is sooooooooo deep that he is happy to make a deal with the devil.

I don't think even Shakespeare could write a story this twisted.

Another troubling component of this story is the possibility that the Klan is shifting its focus as society changes. If you look at the history of the KKK it started out as a Christian vigilantly group enforcing what it perceived as "community values". Then it morphed into the racist organization we associate with it today. Could this be another adaptation of this social malignancy?

If I had the choice of neighbors between a black family, a muslim family, or a gay couple....

I'd take the gay couple any time.

Oh my. I suppose a Black Muslim family just wouldn't do? You realize that you've just voiced a very racist comment? Care to extricate yourself in some way? Or are you proud of your racism.

You can bet that the KKK guy pulled out the ol' hand sanitizer after that handshake.

While engaging in ridicule, it is easy to ignore the fact that a preacher such as this can easily go on the air and gather tens of millions of dollars for any hate-filled cause he decides to launch.

This will not be nearly enough to take over Microsoft (though we must remember that a substantial portion of all investors are already hostile to gay rights), it is enough to build a Creationist museum or to launch any of a thousand different hate- and superstition-promoting projects.

While, at the same time, pro-reason organizations boast that memberships in their organizations are now moving higher in the four-digit and up into the 5-digit numbers, with comparably anemic budgets.

It all must start somewhere. I look forward to a more rational future.
