In Starcraft the soldiers are addicted to stimulants.
In life we have the ability to fight the depressive emotions that war guarantees and we must be careful to ween our soldiers from the addictiveness of this temporary sanity pill after all is over and done.
Not to do so would be a great failure on our part.

daily doses of antidepressants to calm nerves strained by repeated and lengthy

indicate that about 12 percent of combat troops in Iraq and 17 percent of those 
in Afghanistan are taking prescription antidepressants or sleeping pills to help
