BobbyRutan says: 9. I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. They’re interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well. I think there’s a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn’t deserve. 10. Limbaugh attacks on Obama. Limbaugh has called Obama a ‘halfrican American’ has said that Obama was not black but Arab because Kenya is an Arab region, even though Arabs are less than one percent of Kenya. Since mainstream America has become more accepting of African-Americans, Limbaugh has decided to play against its new racial fears, Arabs and Muslims. Despite the fact Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law school, Limbaugh has called him an ‘affirmative action candidate.’ Limbaugh even has repeatedly played a song on his radio show ‘Barack the Magic Negro’ using an antiquated Jim Crow era term for black a man who many Americans are supporting for president. Way to go Rush. oops...some people believe this stuff? not funny Yes, the leader of Republican Party! I feel sad at the demise of it. Yes, yes, very funny un-funny stuff. Re: the Demise of the Republican Party -- don't believe tt for a second. A vampire is not dead till you firmly drive a stake through it's heart. Vote for it. Three more disasterous elections should do it. Actually you're right that it isn't dead, mainly due to the fact that there is no alternative as of yet. The liberal party needs an alternate otherwise republican party will be back. It is actually not an ideal state of affairs we're living in right now. @arifsali - Certainly not an ideal state of affairs - probably no generations gets through their lives in "an ideal state," of affairs. I understand your desire for an alternative to the Republicans and to the Democrats. At various times -- probably due to wanting to vote in someone's primary or get on their bandwagon -- but I've been a registered Democrat, a registered Republican, a registered Independent, a registered Green Party member -- and at times I've voted for them all and even voted once for a member of the Black Panther Party (rad times) and for a Libertarian. Many alternatives are available. Especially in a country where party membership doesn't mean as much as in parliamenta... That man is the #1 source of Thought Pollution. His toxic words are making all of America very, very sick. Time to sicc the EPA on him... or maybe the ASPCA; he's definitely rabid. Well the Democrats will always have the creation of the KKK to be proud of. The first grand wizard of the KKK was honored at the 1868 Democratic National Convention. Projecting the Democrat's racism onto Republicans is like suggesting Bill Clinton didn't abuse women in the White House and get charged with rape by a credible witness. Sorry, but that answer is incorrect. The KKK was created as an offshoot of religious organizations within the Republicans. It's the Right-Wing's baby. The first Grand Wizard was not honoured by the Democrats for being said Grand Wizard; it was for his more legitimate "front" activities. LOL at you suggesting that the Democrats have racism, when the Rebubbucans are the poster boys of Racism. Clip-on-tie; you are so delightfully bass-ackward. Can you see how your own arse looks in jeans without a mirror? It would seem likely, since you see everything in the opposite view of reality. Clip-on's comment is typically ridiculous. Democrats, Rebubbacans, who cares. The KKK is undeniably and unarguably a conservative creation. The Democratic party should be proud of itself for casting off the conservative white male south and it's racism, rebubbacans it's your brimstone now. Rebubbacans wanted Strom Thurmonds' southern strategy, and they got it. I am so proud of the liberal Democrats and those moderate Rockefeller Republicans (now virtually extinct) who worked to give races the same rights under the law. The rights that allowed Jeb Bush to marry a wife outside of his race. The "side-effect,' of how the election of President Obama showed how racism was not as strong as a substantial majority of the nation not thinking color was a barrier. That's an undeniable and great triumph over racism. It's good to remember and celebrate. USA America has made great progress...and it was a great struggle that cost many lives and needed many dedicated activist and leaders and people willing to participate. Of course there will also be hateful people among us. There will always be people who murder, who rob, who commit violent crimes, who embezzle, who corrupt power to their own personal advantage, etc. That's life, if not a part of our human nature then obviously a part of ... — Comment removed by moderator — |
