We call this the 'Nanny State' in the UK and what you clipped is the tip of the iceberg. The present government is hell bent on training us to follow what they want us to do and think whether good or bad and whether good for our country or not.

The nanny state would work more effectively if it sent out
coupons with substantial discounts on healthier food items. Personally, I don't drink soda, but if others
like it, that's up to them.

When I was a kid, no one wore helmets or kneepads unless you played football! We didn't need labels on the visors of the car reminding us to put on a seatbelt (hell, my first car didn't even have seatbelts!). We didn't have outlet covers - if a kid got zapped, he learned not to do that again... Most of this is the government 'watching out' for us poor, dumb citizens. And the idiots in Washington want to INCREASE the size and scope of government. Yeah - change. Just what I need..........not.
