The only thing I would disagree a bit with is the part about journalists. The journalist was already dying with big media corporations deciding what is news and what is not. They replaced real journalists by yes men and pretty mannequins who claimed to be reporters but are nothing more than glorified prompt readers. Bloggers and aggregators came out strong because there was a need for honesty and a need to express dissenting opinion within the populace.

Clipmarks is successful because it combines both approaches.

3. Information. Information. Information.
And more information. Of course we have to search and wade through it all but it's a world library and mega news source at our fingertips - and esp. beneficial with with views of other nations abl...

Of course the benefits of the internet outweigh the things it has 'destroyed'. The internet would not be spreading around the world otherwise
