invictus says:
The world leaders at a Group of Eight meeting yesterday issued a statement on energy policy that touched lightly on alternatives to fossil fuels, but focused mostly on how to bring more oil to the market.

Unfortunately, it the world leaders seem reluctant to take the first brave steps towards alternative energy policies and more interested with deaing with oil. As my previous clip clearly reveals, they prefer to spend billions of dollars for extracting oil from the deep sea. This situation looks linked to the power of the oil industry giants but in the long term, I don't think they could resist the inevitable needs longer. The world desperately needs more alternative energy sources and environment-friendly solutions.

Agreed, rather than spending all the money they are now searching for new drilling site, if that were invested into alternative sources of enrgy I believe we could make stunning progress in a short amount of time.

The best thing that could happen is that all oil supplies vanish. That would force people to stop fighting and focus on a new problem, a collective problem that would need to find alternative fuels.
