odd to think of a formerly traumatic event and have little or no affect regarding it.
the use of propranolol, which is known to cause memory problems, does not seem of sufficient specificity to alter the "molten" state of memory storage. as patients recalled an event but not the emotional content it would seem that the drug or procedure are dampening only the affect of a memory.
however the rat study is of interest.
