egoldstein says: So, in order to get a grasp of Sarah Palin’s impressive foreign policy experience, particularly her unique perspective on Russia, I decided to visit Google Images and take a look at some pictures of Russia. Incredible how seeing what a place looks like from afar can enhance your understanding of their strategic place in the world and prepare you to deal with them in international affairs. Honestly, after taking a hard look at these pictures, and realizing that Sarah Palin has actually seen Russia from miles away with her own eyes, I feel entirely confident that she has the proper experience and expertise necessary to be President. In fact, I’m thinking that Russia must be shaking in their boots at the prospects of someone with such a unique perspective on their landscape being in the White House. You know what, this has me thinking that maybe i could be President. I’ve started a business, I take my daughter to soccer practice (I guess that would make me a soccer dude) and I Just think of all those people who live within 10 miles from the border of Canada. We got a whole bunch of experience. And then there are all those people that went fishing in Canada. We have a ton of Vice presidential candidates. My first visit of several to Canada was at the age of 5, as I recall. I also visited The Bahamas at the age of 12. I have traveled to Europe three times, too. During my trip to Germany I even discussed the Nazi issue and the war with my hosts. I guess I'd qualify as an ambassador, at least. Obama - Less experience than McCain, Biden, and Palin. Obama - worse judgement than McCain and Palin - by far. Obama - extremist connections. MacCain/Palin - none Obama - never fought to reform the most vile political culture in America - Chicago. In fact, he embraced it and profited from it. Palin - fought her own party, reformed Alaskan politics, and has the highest approval rating of any governor. Obama - community agitator and top of the ticket. His Senate record is not an issue since he has spent his entire US Senate career writing 2 memoirs and building the Obama myth of "hope" and "change". Palin - Ran a business, was Involved in the community, mayor and governor. As governor o... Hey, I've been to Cancun and can even speak some Spanish, sign me up for VP. I can see the moon from my backyard, does it mean I could be an astronaut?! I briefly lived in Creston, BC and Lethbridge, Alberta as a child, so I'll take a turn as ambassador to Canada. Pretty weak, Goldstein. She makes you nervous because you know that "mainstream" Americans love her positions and values. ClipMarksists (I'm being p.c. here) with a few exceptions, do not represent "mainstream" America. If McCain/Palin win, then Vice-President Palin would represent a new Republican party that has gotten back to it's conservative roots. That is very threatening to the secular-progressives who dominate this site. Pop for amusement. What makes me nervous is that the person the rebubbacans put at the top of the ticket would risk Americas future on a crap shoot gimmick. What next, insurance agent Billy Bob Bodine, for Secretary of State? Don't argue with me on this go argue with stalwart conservative Wall Street journalist Peggy Noonan who voiced this opinion. Alaska is just one of our colonies like Puerto Rico and Hawaii, not a place to look for people to run our country I guess that excludes Obama ,too then. Now that...is funny. Your foreign policy experience may be similar to Palin's, but it far exceeds Obama's! Regardless of the outcome of the election, we will be stuck with one of them. The thought of that is bad enough. After the election we will go from anti-whoever to look what they did/doing OMG they are so messed up. Just remember that hwen you have two piles of shit to choose from any choice results in a shitty situation. Meanwhile our nation has to deal with the mainstream result. The time to choose a worthy candidate is past. Perhaps we need to focus on FINDING a worthy candidate for the next one. So you know: I don't vote "FOR" either of them. We should set up a voting system where you can vote AGAINST a candidate - it would yield more accurate results. The time to choose a worthy candidate is past. Perhaps we need to focus on FINDING a worthy candidate for the next one.How sad......By the way, Nader is on the ballet in 45 states as of now. It may be our last chance to nip Fascism in the bud. Alaska is right up there close to the North Pole. She is probably friends with Santa too. Someone should call and ask him if it's true. |
