For a mere 100 million yen (880,000 dollars), you can now buy a small satellite to orbit the earth at an altitude of about 600-800 kilometers (372-496 miles), said Astro Research Corp., a space development company.
"Until now, a satellite was something ordinary people could not afford to buy," company executive Ichiro Koike told a press conference Thursday.
Wow, ordianry people have $880,000 lying around? That's a development I was not aware of.

I'm not sure Mr. Koike understands the meaning of "ordinary."

LOL. I would ordinarily throw $880,000 dollars at something like this, but this month i can't because i just spent $920,000 on an underwater revolving door for my $1,900,000 yacht.

OK - If that is too expensive, then maybe sending the letters in to space using this free service might be better

I keep pondering why we humans are now looking to pollute outer space. I suppose we have already polluted our planet enough that we need other places to send our junk?

I know of a way to send all your loved ones into space for free. When I get home tonight, I will "clip it" if I haven't or someone else hasn't already. I thought I might have gotten the info from here but one never knows anymore because I spend more time at CMs than the www. LOL

I signed my father, mother, and my family up for the next ride into space.

I'm at work... will check back with the info for a clip, after 6pm EDT. So stay tuned.

ok. sorry for being late with this. Had to locate it on my ext hard drive. Also found out that I failed to remember to export my bookmarks for backup before I revamped my puter last week. *sigh* Oh well....

Here's how you can send yourself along with your friends and loved ones to the "Asteroid Belt" for free.
