Yikes! I like snakes, but would not like to find one in a toilet bowl. Especially not one this large. Kudos to the rescuers!

You know, those who have had the pleasure of using an outdoor privy have also learned (I hope) to check for snakes before taking a seat. When I was a child my grandparents had an outhouse and we were always warned to look for snakes. This made such an impression on me that I used to worry about snakes coming up into our toilet at home, even though it was indoors. And see, it really can happen!

After reading this clip I suspect that a lot of Australians will be checking their toilets for quite a while.

I had a black snake in my kitchen once, often open the door and almost step on one. Luckily they are pretty good natured.

We don't even have a grass snake in Ireland. Nothing to do with St.Patrick. Seems very tame here compared to the Oz stories.
