You could do the same thing in pretty much ANY other country, from France, to Germany, to UK, to Cuba... and what you get on their top news sites is... actual news!

Some valid points and observations in this, but this is just flat ridiculous.

Yup. American TV news is trash. That's why I my only news source is fake news.

And that's just websites. Try watching your local eleven o'clock news and see how many minutes of actual national or world news you get. Subtract advertising, celebrity gossip, sports, weather, human interest stories, sensational local crime stories, etc., and I'm willing to bet that less than ten percent of the scheduled "news" time is actual news.

the worst thing about the national nightly news is that they all cover exactly the same stories. so really the only reason you should watch one over the other is because you like the guy reading the stories better than the other networks guys.

Anyone who'd cite Communist China and Communist Cuba as good news sources is seriously out of touch with reality and completely unreliable.

Welcome to The Clip, Jim, commonsense is never in too abundant supply.

When the "news" there is itself garbage, determining proportionality with other forms of garbage seems moot.

It isn't. That was my point.

The news feeds demand and responds to ratings. The Media is stupid because people are stupid.. It's the same with our elected officials. We get what we ask for and deserve. However, this is not by accident. Promoting The Age of Stupidity is a tactic in the war on our society.

perfect example of the drive by media..the target is your gullibility...the drivel, the tripe, the spin and the slanted "stories" to fulfill the hidden agenda of full tilt media bias and liberal causes..with Wolf (doggie) Blitzer (Blitzkrieg)(Max Brainwasher) (or Bearded Bard of Bullshit or the DroneOnDude)
hey- they don't call the Commie News Networks for nothing-the most trusted news in media (yeah if your Castro or the ghost of Marx or Lenin)
Oh and NPR the bastard son of Socialism and the BBC ..ah pure Socialism in unadulterated form...thank God for Fox News..at least the don't PRETEND to be anything other than what they are..News from a Conservative Bent, you know it going in..no trick...

I'm a conservative, but I love to watch CNN on election night. Their obvious bias and emotion is hilarious. I actually saw Larry King just about jump out of his seat with excitement when a democrat closed a 7 point gap by 1% with 80 percent of count completed, as if there were going to be a miraculous comeback. Is there a bigger idiot on TV. The women on The View don't count.
