Do you hear the children weeping, and disproving -- O my brothers! -- what you preach? For God's possible is shown by His world's loving, And the children doubt of each. -- Elizabeth Barrett Browning We all feel this lost at times in our lives. I remember my school days. I remember how close I was to doing this same thing. Our society does not deal with hurt very well. Too often we are told to "deal with it" and get on with our lives. And with the frantic pace of modern life sometimes we just do the easiest thing and bury the pain. Pain needs to be shared. We are all social creatures. Thank you for your comment Cptenaud. I'm blown away by this. Words fail me for now. So much hurt. Does anyone know more about this? You know what Righthand? I think some of the clips I consider to be the best never get noticed that much, but then I'm sure others feel the same. The story behind it is that someone sent it to a member of Blink182 in an email and this young man wrote it before he committed suicide. Blink182 got together and wrote a song about it. It is about an actual person named Adam. Why didn't the clip didn't get off the ground? We all should see and learn from it. But logic dictates that it can only be an improvement.I can't imagine how lonely and sad the child's life was. popped. @debbyski Our society does not deal with hurt very well. Too often we are told to "deal with it" and get on with our lives.I agree. Why do people even bother to ask "how are you." It's a meaningless question, with the expected answer being "fine and how are you," because most people really don't want to know. One thing I learned from my childhood NDE was that suicide always causes more pain than it relieves. Life is harsh enough with us all helping each other instead of contributing to the problems of others. Hopefully we will continue to grow into a more compassionate society. heartbreaking |
