It's kind of hypocritical I think because the Islam faith believes that if we can't be converted, then death is the alternative. These extremist views make bringing a Bible in their country pale in comparison. But, when in Rome, do what they tell you! I've traveled extensively and whatever my beliefs, I've learned to keep them to myself. It's a matter of respect for whatever country you're in. Of course if you're asked, then just keep it limited. Religion shouldn't be pushed down someone's throat, y'know- Proselytizing is illegal because it's forbidden, both ways. Muslims are not allowed to proselytize either. But yeah, some countries do take drastic steps to prevent it, regardless. Not to mention the long and dark history of the practice. |
