There is one thing I would like to ask of our hard core, power users.
Please try to dig thru (there i go again) the New Clips section to help
rescue some of the clips that deserve to be seen but that are getting
buried by the deluge of incoming clips.
For now, I have been keeping my consistent eye on My Clippers drop down list in New Clips tab. This makes me not miss my clipper's postings; though, I have noticed some of them have not been clipping lately or not as much as they used to. You can bet I have added some new and excellent clippers to my list (sorry to those whom I have dropped becuase I have not seen you clip anything for long, I mean long, time).

I woul...

Arif, go to My Pops in the My Page drop down menu.

It only shows me 100 clips and then it ends.

Arif, we should have "Next 100" functionality working for pops and comments in the next couple of days.

One suggestion I can make for new folks is that you continue to clip private/public without any rewards of pop. Sooner or later you will be "brought in" as a regular and known clipper if you have something different and unique to offer.

Clipmarks is way too excellent for private clips, the public experience is a bonus in itself.

Even after using this site for a little while, I still some time stumble upon new ideas on how to effectively improve my browsing experience via Clipmarks. I have not seen any website which helps you learn so much and have lots of fun at the same time.

Excellent new feature. Thank you!! Btw, how do you make Firefox faster?

Also something to consider: I've noticed when I add a clip to my personal collection, the story is POPPED automatically. Would it be feasible to add that feature when someone adds a comment as well? My thinking is: for me a POP is not necessarily an endorsement of content but of interest, creativity, learning, community, etc. If someone is taking the time to read through the clip, visit the site and add something to the discussion via comment (as long as they're serious and not trying to spam the exchange) then wouldn't a POP be in order as well?

Ok, I clipped two articles of interest to me that I wished to share.
One is Librarian-Return to King Solomons Mines and the other is a recap of the Librarian- Quest for the Spear.

Solomons mines showed up on the live clips page but Quest did not. They are both in my clips so I commented on Quest to bring it to the live page- It still doesn't show up. The only place I can find it is on the Comments only tab- The King solomon one is visible at all places except pops and comments tab.
When I bring up clipmarks I come to live clips with all the defaults checked. If Quest isn't showing up how many other clips am I missing out on as well?
You must give me a tab that shows all activity. I'm real...

I'm new here. I'm one of those sign-ons through Firefox. I'm learning more every time I log on, and I'm logging on more and more and...I think I'm addicted. Is there a twelve steps program for this?

We're working on Clipoholics Anonymous program, should be out soon.

Claire, the fact that you are brand new and already commenting is a pretty good indicator that there is little hope of recovery.

Well, might as well settle in then. This is the best site for the ADHD brain I've ever seen. A million little pieces of information all tagged and grouped for me, zipping around and changing like crazy! I like it!

I think you have just composed the next Clipmarks promo

You think? Now if I could just stop seeing the word "Chipmunks" instead of "Clipmarks" every time the logo comes up, I'll be on my way to effectively using this site. Baby steps, baby steps...

One feature that might help the issue with multiple versions of the same clip is that if CM could tell you an item was already clipped, show you a link to it and offer to let you comment on it and add it to your clips instead of re-adding it.

We are implementing a similar feature in our product (based around news feeds).

Excellente` Excellente`

I was emailing with Invictus about this a week ago. I believe we're all guilty of it at times because we don't always read every clip that passes through. However, it's cool that we have a buddy system to watch our backs. IE: when someone links their clip with yours so we can cross reference. But this isn't always fool proof. We really need to disengage from duplication.

It might also help the new clippers to understand that Clipmarks isn't a pop-ularity contest. There was a time when it...

@JimEspo:
I'm a little confused with your suggestion. There are times that I might read, comment, engage and save a clip in my library that someone else clipped. I usually give it a pop when I do that; and there are times that I don't. It doesn't mean I thought it was any less worthy but maybe it was an older clip. Maybe it was a clip that provoked challenging feelings in me that I really didn't want to pop, but felt worthy of saving and engaging in.

Does that make sense? I don't think I would want to make popping mandatory under the situations that I mentioned but that's my 2 cents on your very valid concern. I hope I understood your suggestion.

Having this option would be a big help! Also, if a person chose to re-clip it anyway, it might be useful to have an automatic (optional) link added to show the previous clips in order to get their flavor and comments.

m-o-n-a, thanks for popping this as I've now picked it up in my live clips custom tab (latest pops and comments).
