Why would it be ok to let your 10 year old see that movie or read those books? When you're a parent, it's your job to supervise your children. Just do it folks. Don't make me come to your homes and open up a can of whoop-ass! Where was it ever said in the books, that butter beer was alcoholic? I can understand the faculty, but the students? My understanding of England, is that anyone 16 cannot purchase or drink in a licensed pub, unless it is also a restaurant, and that is only at the licensee's discretion. So from my reading of the books and watching the movies, butter beer is non-alcoholic. Remember, they've been going to the pub in town since they were 3rd years, so they'd be 14 when they are allowed to go off campus to town and the pub. |
